My Idol : Zhafira Aqyla

 Zhafira Aqyla

Zhafira is an Indonesian graduate of Osaka University, Japan who has just graduated from Harvard University, School of Education in the Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology program.

 

As a student, Zhafira is currently directing her studies to support her goals in developing Knowbetter, a social enterprise that works to offer faith-based sexuality education for students in Indonesia. Zhafira was a research student at Osaka University, where she received a B.A. in Human Sciences. She was also an awardee of the Japanese Government's MEXT scholarship.

Apart from studying abroad, Zhafira is also active as a Youtube Content Creator who enjoys making videos about her daily life as a student at Harvard University.

She is my motivation to reach my dream to study abroad. She got rejected by Stanford, Penn, and Oxford. But finally, she got accepted to Harvard.

And my favorite statement from Zhafira is “Chasing your dream is not an instant process. Whether you like it or not, we have to try, we have to find all the ways. But, at the end of the day, whether it is meant for you or not, the process itself is worth it. There’s always a lesson in everything that happens to us”
