Today, more and more students are bringing cellphones to the classroom. Even students have cellphones in their pockets and backpacks.
You can do anything with your smartphone. You can use your smartphone to browse the web, send and receive emails, click photos, record videos, make phone calls, write messages, find places and more.
But the question remains: Will students be allowed to use smartphones at school? There are many pros and cons to consider when evaluating policies that allow cell phone use in schools.
Smartphones offer stundents access to instant research about something new. If students curious about a spesific subject, they can easily use their smartphone to learn about it.
Before smartphones, students were only using their textbook to gain their knowledge. But now with technology, they have the ability to acces numerous resources that can help them to gain even more knowledge. For example, we don’t have to buy new books to learn something new but we can easily browse the title of the books in the internet and we can read the e-books.
However, smartphones does more than just make a call and send a messages. Games, social media, and other downloadable apps can create a distraction to student’s activity in class.
To get the most out of these devices, we must learn how to use them for learning, safety and good behavior. The best way to avoid negative consequences is to use classroom instruction only.
